Bios is one integral component of our computer. And sometimes, we must update it turned out to be better.
Bios updates can be done under windows or under dos. Update the most easy to use utility under windows like winflash.
But under windows update error usually occurs when there are often programs that access information from the BIOS. Especially for Mod BIOS flashing under windows is not recommended because it can be an error.
Steps to be most safe in my opinion is under DOS with Windows 98 DOS.
At this time toturial will be discussed at the AMI Bios BIOS update under dos. Some things that need to be prepared:
BIOS file that will be used to update, adjust to the type of your motherboard
Flashernya program that is AFUDOS (Click to Download)
Bootable Flash Disk
UPS
Make a bootable Flash disk
Flash disks are used to load DOS system that can be used for updates. To make ready the following programs:
1. HP USB TOOL (Click to Download)
2. msdossystem (Click to Download)
Create a Bootable USB Disk advance
Install the HP USB Format Utility
Run the software HP USB Format Utility
Download the file MS Dos File System
Extract and put the file in place anywhere
Run the software HP USB Format Utility
Format your USB and check "Create a DOS startup disk" and check "using DOS System Files located at" and point the msdos file system files contained in the folder where you store

Click Start when ready. Wait until the process is complete
Copy the BIOS file and AFUDOS into the flash disk for easy copy only in the root directory
Put your USB stick which has been prepared to boot before the computer is turned on
Going to the Bios by pressing "DEL" when the new computer is turned on
Go to the menu "Advanced BIOS Feature"
Select "Hard drive boot priority", then make your flash boot priority no. One with the '+' or '-' pd keyboard
Save the BIOS configuration is with pressing the 'F10?, Then press' Y' (Yes), then enter
The computer will restart, and allow it to go into DOS Operating System
Bios Update
Once entered into the DOS prompt type:
AFUDOS bios file name / p / b / n / c
Wait until the process is complete should not die or restart your PC for it to use the UPS for the update process smooth and uninterrupted. The process takes about 3 minutes.
Note:
AFUDOS flasher program should be named AFUDOS to be executed
